The Pro Workflow Classic panel is a single portrait panel with built in automated tool presets designed to work with every single Photoshop version starting from CS4 all the way to the latest CC2018. The techniques and tools used in it are limited in order to make it compatible across the wide range. To overcome these limitations, we needed a panel exclusively for Photoshop CC users to incorporate the latest techniques, and keep growing with every major update. We went a few steps further with Pro Workflow X, which is now 4 times more the panel compared to the classic panel, with specialized workflows for portrait, fashion/beauty, landscape and composites.
It also includes Photoshop Actions, Lightroom and ACR Presets, custom Photoshop Brushes and automated Tool Presets all under one seamless ecosystem. Photoshop has a generic interface that caters to graphic artists, industrial designers, medical professionals and even forensic technicians. Just within photography, different pros have different demands. There are times when for certain personal or professional project, a cross over of genre, mindset and retouching habit is required.Pro Workflow X not only makes Photoshop talk the language of photographers, but our tools and techniques also make it effortless to excel at any challenge that comes your way. We worked with Photographers and Retouchers from different genres and studied the evolution of 25 years of Photoshop techniques and industry secrets, how they got adapted to different genres and why are they the gold standard at present. Along the way we innovated a lot more techniques, methodically placed them in an aesthetically pleasing way, while ensuring the process flows smoothly and non-destructively.
Even if you plan to stick to one genre, you will always benefit from having the right tools for when the need arises. The clean interface will display only the tools you require. The Pro Workflow X panel is a light html extension panel, and not a plug-in. Think of it as a remote control surface for Photoshop. All the work is done purely by Photoshop using our techniques. Plug-ins usually take you out of Photoshop to perform a singular task.
The more plugins you add will increase load times and slow down your system considerably. To match what the Pro Workflow X system offers, many different plugins, panels and a mixed pile of actions/presets would be required which would add to the clutter and get in the way of an efficient workflow. Although it makes good business sense to market many smaller products like companies do, it is the complete opposite of the seamless experience we want to provide with the Pro Workflow X system, which you can not find anywhere else. The reviews are real. I’ve tried so many panels and workflow x is by far worlds ahead of others. The mixture of tools set it apart.
A toolset I can use on all different types of images and from simple express retouching (without looking like a plugin) to complex beauty retouches made for magazine covers, the panel has all the tools needed along now with a great explanation video that’s only 35 minutes and walks through all the features. This can be found on stylemypics YouTube channel, if still in doubts about this panels super power. I love the possibility to use dedicated techniques for fashion/portraits, close-up skin edits and landscapes/scenic backgrounds without having to pause to remember what approach to take and each step involved in it. The workflow is designed brilliantly in that aspect with all the steps laid out in the right order. Color grades are very professional looking and add the perfect artistic touch. There is a lot to explore as the panel is packed with so many useful techniques. If you are a photographer like me who prefers the flexibility of Photoshop over Lightroom/Capture One for a major part of the retouching, then you’re gonna love the Pro workflow X.
Its awesome!. The new techniques added in the Pro X panel are simply fantastic, especially the Quick mask section and retouching Brush set. Even the portrait techniques seem to be improved and smarter now(like auto-recognizing 8 or 16bit images). Almost every important thing can be done through the panel(except for de-select). It eliminates the need to look away from the screen every now and then to type a keyboard shortcut.Just like the previous Classic panel which I own, this version also has an entirely organic approach, meaning they are all native Photoshop techniques.
This is the biggest difference between this panel and any other plugin. For those who have experience with Photoshop will find there are a lot of customization options to fit their style. This is an excellent Photoshop tool and you will have a great time retouching with it. Sure it needs practice, but its totally worth it.
The one thing missing is a voice command!I was completely satisfied with the Classic version, but the new X panel is in a league of its own. Its like an encyclopedia of all the Photoshop techniques you can imagine methodically put together, and then some.
In the beginning it can be a bit overwhelming (even for a Classic panel user like myself), but once you remember where each button is, it gets fast and even fun to use. You can literally ‘flow’ through an entire portrait retouch from start to end without even thinking of what to do next. The Undo – Redo is such a simple touch and I use it a lot more than I imagined. The Portrait section has a lot of new additions and the skin retouching is as good as ever. The new Color Grades rock! Beauty mode has an easy to use Makeup section, and although I don’t normally do digital makeover, its nice to have all the tools ready just in case.
Split View is also nice to have with a single click. Quick mask pro is a really great feature and it has made masking a piece of cake.Lightroom/ACR presets, creative photoshop brushes and canvas texture are all good. The only con I can think of could be the entry price point.
Although as a classic panel user I did get my entire initial cost deducted from an already discounted launch offer sale, so for me it was a great deal. But if you retouch images often, even at its full price its definitely worth the investment. Go for it!Oh I almost forgot, their customer care is one of the best around.
